Flare Outdoor Fireplaces Canada is a division of 7925760 Canada Inc. It manufactures the Flare Fires products under license to Flare Fires New Zealand.
In 2019 the team at Old School Enterprises travelled to New Zealand on a social visit. There they were introduced to the Flare Fire - a solid precase concrete modular outdoor fireplace designed to extend the patio season as well as facilitate a full array of cooking options.
By 2020 they had established a business venture with the folks in New Zealand and began importing the product into Canada. Importing concrete is an arduous task and, seekeing to simplify, we decided that manufacturing should move to Canada. New Zealand agreed and sent the casting molds across the sea to us.
In 2021, the Canadian team registered a new division for manufacturing under the name of Flare Outdoor Fireplaces Canada (FOFC) and since then has been casting this great product right here in Ontario. Utilizing our own great Canadian aggregate, and modifying our concrete mix to endure our Canadian weather, Flare Outdoor Fireplaces Canada has made this great New Zealand appliance available and affordable for Canadians.
By the end of 2022 FOFC has purchased a retired elementary school to accommodate the growing need for manufacturing space. Under the banner “Old School Enterprises” the former North City Improvements (a residential construction entity), the new Flare Outdoor Fireplaces Canada manufacturing agreement and (coming soon) Hooga Fireplaces (a line of Canadian designed and manufactured outdoor fireplaces and yard accessories) came together.
